Technician Assistant Job Description

 This is position requires basic working knowledge of electronics and theory as applied to microcomputers and peripherals. The Technician Assistant must have basic diagnostics and troubleshooting skills of both hardware and software pertaining to standalone machines and peripherals. She/he must also possess a basic understanding of networking technology. She/he should have a basic working knowledge in peer-to-peer networks. The primary focus of the Technician Assistant is to assist Computer Repair and Field Service technicians wherever needed. The Technician Assistant should strive through classroom, self study and work experiences to improve his/her skills to the level of a Computer Repair Technician within 1 year.

Must have completed basic electronics or 6 months hands on experience in a related field.

 

Computer Repair Technician Job Description

 This is a technical position that requires extensive knowledge of electronics and theory as applied to microcomputers and peripherals. The Computer Repair Technician must be proficient in the diagnostics and troubleshooting of both hardware and software pertaining to standalone machines and peripherals. She/he must also possess a basic understanding and proficiency of networking technology. She/he should have a basic working knowledge in networking in both peer-to-peer and dedicated server network configurations. Other tasks that the Computer Repair Technician may be required to perform include, but are not limited to, inventory control, document processing , equipment pickup and delivery, researching parts availability and costs, periodic maintenance of equipment and training and supervision of a Technical Assistant. The primary focus of the Computer Repair Technician is to provide in-shop or bench repair with minimal supervision. Occasional on-site services to ECSI customers may also be required. The Computer Repair Technician will have some on-call/after-hours duty. The Computer Repair Technician should strive through self study and work experiences to improve his/her skills to the level of a Field Service Technician within 1 year.

A minimum of 1 years hands on experience is required or 3 months with A+ or better certification.  You will not be considered for this position if you do not meet the requirements.

 

 

Field Service Technician Job Description

She/he must also possess a thorough understanding and proficiency of networking technology. She/he should be proficient in networking in both peer-to-peer and dedicated server network configurations. Other tasks that the Field Service Technician may be required to perform include, but are not limited to, inventory control, document processing , equipment pickup and delivery, researching parts availability and costs, periodic maintenance of equipment and training and supervision of a Technical Assistant.
